      • yeah

,just after 1966 me and about fifty other qpr fans went to the chelsea shed end we already had the name of our end which was going to be called the loft, but first we needed to make up our own songs,we would of course copy the skin head image of the shed boys but embaressingly enough all of our songs were copied from the shed all except
        WE ARE THE RANGERS BOYS
WE KNOW OUR MANNERS WE FIGHT WITH SPANNERS
WE ARE RESPECTED WHEREEVER WE GO
but we it wasnt a very good song the mighty shed had the now deceased greenawy to make up all these brilliant songs he was a very gifted man but sadly he went downhill on the drink and died a very early death, but his classic ziger zagger zigger zagger oih oih oih
        was chillingly brilliant
as was his ....................if you go down to the shed today be sure of a big surprise
we of course just copied the song but used the loft instead of the shed
but by 67-68 a stocky geezer from notting hill had formulated a loft mob which was only 50 in number but you could here them singing
but in the 67-68 season the half way line led by a man beating a big drum numberd two hundred but they were not skin heads they were just fans who loved rangers so it was now all about the 68-69 season
that first game the loft stood for the first time against leicester city numbering about 250 skinheads
at this time chelsea were the cutting edge of skinheadism and could easily pull three thousand skins
you have got to of course remember that not all the chelsea skins supported chelsea
it was a whole skinhead movement,so the loft had already decided for the chelsea home game we were not going to stand our ground, numerically it would have been impossible
literally somebody could lose there life
the police were powerless to help they juist used to do there best but it was a common sight to see a copper laying unconcous
they had no comunication just a whistle
by the end of that first season qpr had now formulated 500 skins but we still had one of the smallest
        firms in the division
miraculously with the help of tottenham hotspurs we held onto the loft for most of the games
the spurs fans and there iconic leader a black guy from edgeware taught us many things they hated chelsea and knew that we also hated them after getting a beating at the mike keen testimonial game
arsenal took the loft with no opposition from rangers west ham also took the loft chelsea took it with ease
only tottenham refused to take it as they were our best friends they stayed on the terraced part of the south africa road stand,we didnt sing any derogative songs at them and they didnt sing any nasty songs at us
the biggest shock of the season was the one and only time the loft has been completely taken, and we are talking 7000 fans were used to completely take the whole end not just the top of the loft
was by man utd in 68-69
its never been done since but it was an amazing sight,in them days every club sang your never walk alone and put your scarfs up in the air
to see 7000 red scarfs all moving from side to side was trully a vision of great power its something ill never forget in football, knowbody and i mean knowbody has ever done anything like that again
the most chelsea shed boys ive ever seen in the loft is about 3000 they didnt take the whole end
but man utd took the whole end
in terms of qpr showing massive numerical power the most amazing site was 1982 wembley stadium out side the torch pub
about 800 spurs fans were drinking outside the pub,but around the corner came about three thousand qpr fans I still get questioned by spurs fans as to where these guys came from as they havent seen a firm like it
but that typical of the fanatical rangers fans one minute they are almost non existant then all of a sudden they appear in there thousand
im going to predict in ten years time that most football fans will get along ok
