I think the key consideration here is the fact the came back against Germany, who at this time are pretty much on a par with anyone on the world, and i'd include spain in that.

Being the cynical ba$tard that I am, cant help but think it half stinks of some inside info / match fixing there! Well, if it were Italy involved Id certainly think it anyway. I could half see a silly £5 bet on that, but to chuck £126 on a draw when theyre 4-0 down with half hour to go?! Fair play to him I suppose, he aint guna be struggling to pay the mortgage anytime soon thats for sure.

It wasn't a £126 bet, it was £126 traded in total on the draw at 999/1, so half of which would have been laid so only £63 backed on the draw. This £63 would most likely of been made up of very small bets all totaling £63, with the equivalent being layed against the back.
