Reading sussed out the weakness in the cup game and they capitalised on it, so did West Ham, and so did West Brom. Quick wing-backs are needed in modern football
Sure I heard somewhere city fans nicknamed him nervous Ned, plenty of times since he has been with us I have seen why.

3rd cover at LB, might get away with it till his speed is sussed. shame cos he's all heart and i would like to have seen him hack it.
      Cant disagree with that.

Ferdinand and Onoura make so many schoolboy errors its laughable they are playing in the premier league.
Good to see some refreshing honesty from him. He is a reasonable CB although some forwards like Holt will get the better of him. However, he is good to have around as cover.

Fair play to clint for being a man and admitting it . Hope sparky takes notice must be hard getting picked in a position you know your not good enough in against the pace and skill of this league . Proper pro well done clint

i assume MH knew about his speed, thats why he converted him to CB cover. i think MH never thought he would need to use him at LB.
i wouldnt mention it either if i was him. id run and hope they didnt notice the limp.

Fair point. A careless phrase. But he's rarely let us down at CB, mind. And he's certainly a top quality pro and a stand out Rangers player. And I'd have him in this team at CB before Anton F any day of the week.

Even though clint is one of if not the least skill full of our squad I bet he's the first one to hammer himself when things go wrong . Wish everyone had clients attitude towards the game as we'd not be in the situation we are now . Love his passion and commitment and his addmitance at not being good enough to play left back at this level can only be for the teams best interest . Once again clint well done because if Hughes picks you now it's solely on his shoulders . Decent cover for centre back and a top top professional . Worth ten antons IMHO . Miss the days when players cared .

Oh, go on, then. I'll do it... "Clint Hill - A Good, honest pro." That will be used by Colin Murray soon, then?

People connect with hill as he's never one to hide in games and always tries his best regardless of his limitations . I've never seen a thread on here saying hills a lazy player who isn't putting in a shift . What I'm saying is if everyone adopted that attitude we'd be in a better situation . Hills a limited player at this level but at least he cares and bothers to try , can't see nedum coming out and saying he's not good enough to play right back can you ??

Which he has publicly admitted , if Hughes now plays him at left back he deserves everything he gets . I know the options are limited but lack of pace is the main issue and for this reason he must pick traore or fabio or even bosingwa where available

Traore's endlessly injured. It seems he's rarely fit.... And, along with M'Bia, Diakite and Adel he'll be off to the wretched African Nations Cup for much of January.....

Don't know if I'm sure it's always genuine injuries with armand . Just pure speculation but I've got a horrible feeling Hughes doesn't rate him and tbh I can sort of see why . Fantastic at getting forward and offers a mean cross but that leaves you exposed at the back which is where I think a holding midfielder would come in handy to cover him . I personally think we made a massive error not signing taiwo as he was a beast who gave real pressance in the back line. Maybe it was out of our hands I dunno but I'd have him back here in a heartbeat
