He wasnt "playing" for anybody was he? Maybe training? Anyway, my guess is Oldham ? I only say these as I am sure I once saw him quoted as saying the only other club he would play for is Oldham - who he has supported his whole life.

Scholes was playing for no one before he came back. He retired in May 2011, and he joined the coaching staff at Man Utd. According to his interview, he missed playing, and so in December, he went to see Fergie.

I think poor silvercue got confused and took this article literally when it said Man Utd legend Scholes signs for Oldham!!!

Apparently he is asking for 1.6 million AUD, which comes to a million pounds, which is 26k per week. Considering our reserve keeper is on 45k a week, sounds like a bargain to me.
