Good post and well said. If the club and its owners were so clever, they would have some form of incentive for Rangers fans on days we are live on tv. Football clubs are very quick to take, take, take off of fans. Charge for memberships, pay to go on the website, Outrageous cost of cr.p refreshments, programmes, ridiculous booking fees, etc ,etc, etc.
You don't need to be a genius to work out that some people can't get to football on a weeknight and if there was some knd of deal, a few other people may be attracted. Lots of tv games are attended by half empty grounds.

Just out of interest, do you have a mortgage, do you have a family, do you work shifts, are you lucky enough to have a decent paying job? A lot of guys aren't in the position to be able to shell out for football week after week for nine months a year and have higher priorities, like putting food on the table for their family or paying the mortgage or rent.

Plenty of people on here like to complain about some lads not going to games are probably the type who live at home with the folks and don't have to put up with the ever-increasing cost of living. I'm not going Monday but that doesn't make me any less of a fan. When I didn't have a mortgage and bills I went all over the country following the team. I've been a Ranger for over 40 years and I won't put up with anyone telling me I'm not a fan because I'm not going on Monday.

All this is true. But if they are having to offer give-aways for a london derby because they can't fill an 18,000 stadium then it suggests a new stadium is a long way off. I take the point of one poster that the seats are bad etc at Loftus Rd but I'm not sure more comfort is going to double the gate.

If this game was not on tv, it would be full, no question. My point was proved the other night, when discounted prices meant 11,500 came to the cup game, when half of that was expected. This is slightly different, in so much it's a london derby but it's also on tv and £40-£60 + travelling costs + food and drink is expensive when they can watch at home.
Doesn't make the non runners on Monday bad people or bad supporters IMO

don't underestimate the number of fans who live outside of London now, where in the past mid-week games were well attended now they tend to have the lowest gates

Looks like its not going to sell out,the school lower and the lower loft will look embarrassing on tele. Do feel sorry for the owners, they get us in to the "promised land" sign players that we never thought we could sign and yet we cant sell out a **** poor 15,000- 17,000.

All the excuses "Monday night,on tele,work commitments,too expensive,double dip recession,Nick Clegg,trouble in Syria its all ******** get yourself down there, Loftus Road under the floodlights is a very special place especially a London derby,cannot understand the mentality of some of the QPR supporters we are in the premiership for ****s sake how is the club gonna grow if you sit on your #### at home.
Anyone on this board who doesn't go on Monday night should not only be ashamed of themselves but banned from the board.

i wouldnt like to sit next to you , i will drive 140 miles monday there and back but thats me , i wont judge people that dont turn up at QPR we have around 10,000 diehards that always turn up . i was hooked from the off but for others its watching on sky tv . when people talk about moving grounds i have to smile we are not a big club and wont fill it . theres something about winning at loftus rd that i love and long may it continue as for a new ground watch coventry or middlesboro when they play at home and look at there half empty seats

try telling this to the new ground brigade , it seems they want nice food ,choice of drinks ,and an amiable atmosphere ,just like the Emirates ,football at Loftus Rd is tribal ,and may it continue at least until i'm pushing up daisies

this is the rude awakening football clubs are going to have to accept and i said it would happen years ago as prices kept soaring.Ticket prices are too dear thesedays and only the diehards/dedicated fans will swallow it on a regular basis.

I love fball always have done always will but personally i wont pay silly money unless i wish to do so.I dont go to half the games i used to because of ticket prices..

last monday 2 tickets =£30-00 (cheap)
food/drink/travel from tring and uckfield say £60-00

Thats £90

x 2 west ham tickets £80-00

plus £60-00 as above

Thats £230 for 3 hours of sheer terror :pleasantsuprise:

lots of people just dont have that sort of disposable income and how can you justify to the other half spending that sort of money its crazy..............
