Its way too early for this kind of talk - its just idle and ill-thought out speculation IMHO. Its very easy to post in this way and I suspect its done invariably just to provoke a reaction, although in your case Rebel no offence but I do know that youre a glass-half-empty type of poster. Me personally I'd give MH at least an entire season regardless. Sacking him any sooner would have even worse consequences than keeping him in the long term. Posters always fall into the trap of believing that the grass will always be greener by sacking the manager and getting someone they perceive would be better, when in reality that is mere illusion.

I do remember you saying the same thing last season when I wanted Warnock sacked,so don't agree. As for Hughes now,I agree he needs some time but as for keeping him for the entire season( as you wanted for NW last season)regardless as to how we are doing apparently,I completely disagree. If results haven't improved by middle of November then it's time to act,but still think Hughes will come good

For someone who believes he will come good, you predict his doom a hell of a lot.

And as for predicting that a QPR manager will get sacked soon.....you could have said that at any time over the last 10-15 years and been right fairly soon. It's not exactly a stretch given our record.

But if you actually look at what the board have invested in MH's way of doing things, including the huge back room set up being put in place, I would suggest the board have more faith and patience than you give them credit for.

Well clearly thats an impossible call to make Rebel...maybe we would have, maybe not, we'll never know. Unlike Hughes, Warnock was not given a fair crack of the whip in what has now been two transfer windows for MH, due to circumstances beyond his control in the boardroom - the summer when investment was needed scant funds were made available to him by PL standards. We do know that we had more points under him at this stage of last season however.

We've had two shocking results at Loftus Rd already this season, last night's, and that Swansea debacle on the opening day.
For the life of me, I cannot see the board, having invested so heavily to avoid this very scenario this season, just standing idly by, if things continue as they are.
The Reading result was hardly shocking . Very disappointing yes but not shocking .They are a prem league side not vauxhall motors.

Just wanted to make the point,SOMETIMES changing a manager does lift a team,And while I think sacking Hughes at this point in time would not be the right thing to do,IF results continue the way we have started then my opinion will change

Maybe not for you, but I fully expected us to beat Reading at our own gaff and progress further in the cup, therefore, I was shocked when we failed to hold on to a lead, TWICE, and then lose the game.
A defeat, is a defeat, is a defeat in my book, no matter the opposition, and had it happened at Reading, and not at our own place, I might have accepted defeat easier, only MIGHT, mind.

imo hughes only done ok in the summer free for all. his love of big strong cm's and wingers can be commended but his failure to strengthen in our weakest position and not getting a top class cb in was a terrible decision that will cost us valueable points. not getting another good striker in was also a huge blow for ambitions this season. but lets not cloud the big picture here. we are in the middle of the clubs biggest progression in our history and if we face staying up by the skin of our teeth for the next cple of seasons then i'll take it. mh needs this season/achieve staying up comfortably/mid table as the yard stick or it would be time to go.

                                Give me strength.

If we are going to do some crystal ball gazing, why not talk about what is going to happen if we hammer the Hammers? It might very well happen. I think we will win, or at least draw, and I'm a pessimistic so and so at the best of times. My crystal ball says that if we hammer the Hammers we won't get anymore of these crazy threads popping up, at least until the next defeat (or draw?). And that will make me happy. :=):
