Lesser teams will not live with that level of performance. The midfield is exceptional and the defence looked so comfortable with the ball at their feet, Cesar is a calming influence. Keep working hard and playing like that our luck will change quickly.

This had all the hallmarks of Hughes, and I'm afraid that is a bad bad sign. Reasonably organised, totally unthought through.

He's negative and unimaginative as a thinker and tactician, hopelessly limited if you are thinking any more than survival, and that is by no means guaranteed. The fact is Spurs were abysmal for at least 45 mins. Others wont be so kind.

Remember, what City fans hated about Hughes was his football above all else. I have a theory that for younger R's fans what is happening now constitutes relative success. For people like me, it's embarrassing. His record for us is very poor. He's contract will save him, but it shouldn't.

Isn't this a bit harsh, look at quality of players he's attracting, surely a big improvement on Bothroyd, Hulse, Gabbidon and Barton

The side effect of playing well during a game, will always be that the opposition become more determine
To stop our game. If we just could not concentrate...thats it all effort down the drain.
Remember the game at home against Aston Villa at home last season?
We were playing so well during first half...Ala Barcelona...with fluid passing.
And 2nd half was the total opposite...Villa came back strongly...
and we just could not perform the same thing.
