    Nelson

A lot of people questioned the signing of him.

Today he was immense! Everything that came his way he dealt with class.

Torres didn't get a looking all game because of him!

The guys fantastic and could prove to be so valuable as cb was a slot we needed to fill badly. We done that now
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

a blackburn fan was telling me he wasn't even first choice for them before they let him go to spurs - is that true? either way, couldn't have asked more from him today - tough but also v composed.

Pretty sure he had only come back from injury and then requested his release.

A lot was going on behind the scenes at Blackburn with players like Salgado, Roberts etc being dropped because of contract clauses such as appearance bonus, win bonus etc.

With Anton & Nelsen performing like this, how are we going to fit in M'bia in that starting XI? Unreal squad.

He dealt with Terry like it was personal.

He maybe a bit bitter, Nelsen had some injuries and was so good alongside Samba

He's a real leader and definitely the real captain of the side. Organises so well. Lacks pace but his positional sense and reading of the game make up for it.
With Ferdinand injured MBia and Nelsen next week. Interesting.

couldn't understand what he was saying in his motd interview - was he admitting or denying the penalty with terry.

Appeared a bit embarrassed but basically he didnt want to be drawn on the question and said you'd have to ask Terry to look you in the eye and tell you he didnt go down deliberately.

Said all along he'd be quality and i am pretty certain had he been with us pre season, instead of with NZ at the Olympics, he'd have been made captain imo.

He certainly had hands on Terry but I thought Terry actually fell over Torres. If pens were given for that every game from cornors and freekicks there would be 15 a game
