Berbatov & Carroll

2 good strikers who have moved clubs recently.
Just wondered if we were ever in the mix of clubs interested in either?
They've been mentioned on this forum a few times, but not sure if they are MH type of player, or if we ever enquired? Chance missed maybe?

Berbatov apparently interested in... Carroll i dont think so.. wouldn't want him anyway.

Sky Sports news.... has just mentioned that Alex Ferguson has said that he wouldnt be shocked if Berbatov ends up somewhere else probably Spurs....

At the start of last season, our strike force was utter crap and full of mid table Championship strikers, DJ, Dave, Betty..........

This season, with Cisse, Johnson and Zamora, we are in a good place and I personally would not swap Berba or Caroll for either Cisse or Zamora.

I thought the same and was a wee bit disappointed when Berbatov went elsewhere (we were allegedly linked) and Defoe signed an extension to his deal with Spurs.We were constantly linked with him.Perhaps MH is happy with his pool of strikers which will be slightly enhanced with signing of the Croatian guy.Whether we go for any other strikers I don't know but I'd like to think so if that's not being too greedy.

Berbatov might be going to spurs now, Alex ferguson was just on SSN saying he reckon Berbatov wont be going to fulham

Think he had a medical at Fulham a day or so ago, but not signed yet. Spurs have extended contract for Defoe, and signed Adebeyor but seem to be losing Van der Vart, so Fergies comments are quite clever

Well on the foolham boards when we was linked to berbatov they laughed calling him slow,lazy,selfish and to old haha now they are all excited by him. He would he a great signing for us, Carroll would not fit in IMO he is the perfect player for wet spam.

I think Carroll will be an outstanding player in 2-3 years time, I do believe we should have gone for him, how much would he have learnt of of BZ.
