    Diakite out for City match

    Ian Taylor:
"Samba Diakite will miss Saturday's trip to the Etihad Stadium owing to personal reasons. #QPR"

    Hughes:
"Samba is unfortunately having difficulties with some personal issues at the moment. We are supporting him in every way we can. We hope Samba can overcome this very quickly and get back to being the outstanding player that he undoubtedly is."

That's a big blow for us. Granero to go straight into the starting line-up then? (If he signs)

"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Bloody hell that's a shame. I wonder what all that's about?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Something abit strange going on really, missed a big chunk of pre-season due to personal issues too dindt he (?). Hope nothing too serious or something that will keep cropping up throughout the season.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Didn't he lose a close family member during pre-season which put him out for a few weeks with bad depression?

When he missed the pre-season, they said he had family problems in France.

Oh dear; very tricky situation to overcome, hope he gets the support he requires to restore his bonhomie.

Hughes' statement does make it sound like depression. If that was the case then it would be nice if there was something the fans could do to make him feel better. Maybe a mass sing-along of "Sam-ba Look On The Bright Side Of Life (doo-do, doo-do doo-do doo-do )" at the next home game.

Yes, that should solve his problems!

This could partly explain his below par perfotrmances against Swansea and Norwich. Hope he makes a full recovery soon.

Civil war in his country perhaps? He hasn't really been at the races this season. No wonder we are desperate for Granero.

he's a cracking player and whatever is it lets hope it can get figured out.
let the club tell us how we can help, and i'm sure we'd be more than happy to do so.
