However, a big issue in the volitile Middle East, which is never a million miles away could send Oil prices through the roof and cripple airline companies, lose huge amounts in value and make some go out of business. He isn't even that rich compared to some football owners, so we are walking on a tight rope and we should not take things for granted.

People talk about money from "other sources" but until that is made clear I assume that is the TV money. We are far too small to be spending 40k+ a week on a second goalie. It may cause unrest too.

Matty, you could type that 1,000 times over and for many fans it STILL wouldn't sink in. For some reason they believe the Daily Star, Mail, Sun etc which spout non-stop s**t about us. We should just make that paragraph a sticky and direct people there when topics like this come up.

Also, Green deal was agreed before Kenny handed in his transfer request for Leeds. Previously Hughes had wanted Kenny as competition for Green, after he left he had to get another keeper in. Cerny is a good keeper, but is not competition.

At the moment Rob Green is first choice. He will be first choice even if he makes error after errror. He has no competition. Its easy to say Cerny but the guy clearly has injuries that Hughes can see day in and day out. Murphy will never start ahead of Green.

So getting this guy in means competition and will force Green to work harder than ever to start. If he gets a chance to play he knows he has to take it. Competition for places is never a bad thing and at the moment Green has no competition.

The priority for me is watching the best 11 players on the pitch for QPR. Let the accountants worry about whatever people get paid.

It depends how the club decide to market ourselves and distribute our stock. Do they plan to open official club shops around Korea or are they planning to sell them through sports shops/department stores? Its important to have a clear channel sales strategy to ensure we benefit the most!

That is the myth I am talking about. I have been to a number of countries in Asia when he was at his peak and no where at all did I see anything to do with him. No one was interested at all. What countries is he a big enough to sell QPR shirts in? Please let me know as I don't think they exist. Asia has much bigger football stars than Park now - especially as they play for bigger clubs.

1) We've had a whole host of new sponsors join the club since this time last year- the most recent being ASR Holdings who sponsor our training kit- only the 2nd Premiership team to have this arrangement after Man Utd. Each year we stay up we will attract more sponsors and will be able to negotiate better contracts with our existing sponsors.

2) You're right- matches shown overseas do not bring in any new direct revenues. What they do is build interest in the club, grow the fan base and develop the brand- after our tour of Asia there was something like 16,000 new memberships from South Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia alone. So other than the membership fee, we will also get money from 3rd parties who will market to these new members. Plus we will be able to sell official merchandise to them.

3) Park wasn't brought in to sell shirts- he was brought in to raise our profile in one of the biggest emerging markets in football. We'll make money from him for the same reasons as above and also because he will attract big sponsors to our club from SK. From what I've seen of him so far, he also looks like one of the best players I've seen at Loftus Road for years and years, which is a nice added bonus.

4) Our TV revenue is no bigger than other clubs- correct, BUT OUR WAGE BILL IS SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER. It is lower than it was at this time last year. The Premiership TV deal guarantees £60mil per season as well as an extra payment depending on final league standing. So after this season we would have made about £120mil JUST FROM TV RIGHTS.

5) Philip Beard- renowned as one of the most commercially aware blokes in the business- trust me, he will see opportunities to bring in extra cash all the place.

Overall, I think we're in a pretty good place financially. Incredibly rich shareholders, a proven businessman at the top and a sound commercial team behind him. Personally, I think it's great that we have the current England number 2 and the former Brazil number 1 competing for starting places, whereas previously it was Frasier Digby and Nikki Bull. But then maybe that's just me.

QPR sign Julio Cesar from Inter Milan. No, really, they have.

Brazilian international keeper Julio Cesar, twice former Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year, has signed a four year contract at QPR this evening after leaving Inter Milan. LFW gawks in open mouthed amazement.
