    we must buy younger

    this idea of buying really old players is crazy,we must buy younger,the swansea team is a good example of a team that was put together at a young age and they have blossomed and developed

    Dawson is too old and is acident prone he is another man made of glass,he can only play 20 games a season,his bones are too old,we must buy younger ,all this panick buying wont help

    In effect, we are building 2 teams, 1 for now and 1 for the future. The one for the future will need to come from the academy. In the meantime we need quality regardless of age.

      We have bought enough players. I think we should keep our current squad and focus on team-training. Maybe for next season, we can buy one or two young midfielders.

        Not sure what you mean by quality, but I reckon we need experienced players who can come in and do a job immediately. We've got a number of holes all over the squad and several of those who are in at the moment simply aren't good enough.
        Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

          but

          but a young center half is an absolute must,how can we forget the great darren peacock and paul parker these players used to be so full of energy that out attacks were started in the defence and we were almost impregnable

          I have no idea why we dont re alise that every football team needs a tight defence

            @qprted

            Ned is 25 and Anton is 27. Unfortunately, neither is good enough. It's not just about age, it's about the ability to do a good job.

            Sorry, should I have said 'quality'?

              Last April we beat Swansea 3-0 with 6 same players in starting 11. Think 5 new ones are better than those replaced. Agree with OP and we need team training, too. To buy and buy new (experienced, and maybe unmotivated) ones surely isn't the best way to develop a performing team.

                Our defenders are not great but are adiquate ,we can bring in Dawson Cavalio Samba or anyother top central defenders and they won't do a great deal better unless they have far greater midfield cover than was offered on Saturday nothing in the center of m/fieild means nothing in the center of defence.
                As regards to players age build a strong side 1st then bring younger players in

                        I agree. Let's face it, Zamora, Nelsen, Park, Johnson, Green, Cisse are all decent players but past their peak. Likewise for Defoe, Dawson and obviously Carvalho. Obviously players with their experience still have something to offer and can be key players for us as Cisse was last season, but I don't think they should make up the majority of our signings. I think Diakite and Hoilett are both fantastic signings, but I had hoped to see a few more players come in along those lines.

                        Tony Fernandes may be bragging about our 1.5 mil net spend, but Swansea spent 2 mil on Michu and going by last Saturday, they'll make a handsome profit on that as well as having a superb player for a few seasons.

                          Going by what the paper says, dawson will cost anything up to 9mil and zouma potentionally 14/15, thats nearly 25 mil on 2 players, they wont spend that
