Shawcross is everything you would want in an out and out defender. Good in the air no slouch on the floor and nicks a goal or two. Think his form dipped a little after the Aaron Ramsay incident.

Have to laugh if true, 3 million pound a year and they are arguing about ****ing bonuses, only footballers agents could be such greedy *******s.

Shawcross is a monster of a defender, real tough player… Not sure but I think I'd rather him than Dawson!

Shawcross is a highly rated young defender. I hope we get him. Wouldn't mind Dawson but he's coming to the end of his career and probably just wants a good wage before he finishes up! Shawcross on the other hand would probably sign a long-term contract and play more for the shirt rather than the money...I hope.

Shawcross has youth on his side and has not had the injuries Dawson has had. Both very good defenders and would be great signings for us. They are also both great organisers which would also make them captain and leader material.

lets hope something happens quickly if not deadline day we will end up with what no one else wants and we panic. We are also going to pay over the odds for either one because they are in a great position to get themselves a better deal as we are looking desperate.
