People are idiots to get on greens back after one game. With people singing Paddy kenny songs is a disgrace we say he has no confidence why is that? Because fans are giving him ****. There are two types of players, players who do well under criticism others who don't.
Barton got slated booed the lot he came back stronger.
Swp got booed slated he turned to ****.
Rob green comes across as swp so come on fans lets give our no1 some **** make his confidence lower than what it all ready is, then bring in cerny for a game before he gets injured then after that Brian Murphy. Yeah great move people........

To be honest he looked very nervous Saturday. We need to stand by our players especially after one game. There ain't a keeper in the PL who doesn't have a bad game.

Why do fans think it will help getting on a players back just because he makes a mistake. RG has played 1 competitive game for us and made a mistake, Parkesy made many a mistake but people didn't barrack him. Keepers make mistakes and it normally leads to goals due to their position. Get off his back FFS and give the guy a chance.:angry1:

Yes you are if you don't understand that getting on a players back like green will not benefit anyone it will actually make it worse. He is not like Barton.

As it goes, I like Paddy and rated him pretty highly so my post isnt meana be digigng him out, Im just using it as an example that every keeper has the odd howler, every player for that matter does, but a keeper's is highlighted alot more as theyre the last line of defence and it generally causes a goal. Everybodys having a pop at Green and, yes, the first goal was his fault and was poor, but if we jumped on every players back after 1 mistake we would have no players left at the club!

Haha no I am not Robert Green Though I think the signing of 2 proven premierleague class defenders such as Dawson and Carvalho would be perfect for QPR, though I'd suggest Dawson would be the pick of the two, more of a case of Spurs accepting a great bid more than wanting him to leave.

Think someone mentioned about Crosses? To be honest, unfair criticism has led to him labelled as a 'stay on your line' goalkeeper, and being non-vocal. If you would have seen him tear Carlton Cole a new one last season for not marking properly you would change your mind. He doesn't shirk coming for crosses, the England friendly he played this year he came for anything and everything, caught 99% and was criticized in the media for missing one that sailed out for a goal kick anyway. To those who suggest Robinson is a better goalkeeper......ever seen him catch a cross? OR have you seen him flap, and then scream at his defence whilst the cameras focus on him? Why was he pushed out of Spurs in the first place for Brazil's David James? A massive kick and a loud voice doesn't make a top 10 goalkeeper, and I'm sure that is where you'd like to be this year.

Green is a very methodical goalkeeper, very quiet off the pitch, not flashy, doesn't get involved in media things, does extra training to make sure everything is exactly so going into his next game. I believe I am correct in saying the current goalkeeper coach is Kevin Hitchcock? The ironic thing about this, is when he came to West Ham under Zola was the first time I'd ever seen Green punch a ball! So to see him come and mess one up the other day doesn't surprise me, he is probably being encouraged to, its been coached into him and I don't believe its a natural thing for him to do.

Green will never have Reina's excellent distribution, Cech's excellent reflexes or Hart's excellent command....BUT, he is generally very very good and very steady at everything. A confident Robert Green can push Joe Hart to play for England. A confident Paddy Kenny is still an #### wipe.

OH - and he can save the odd penalty too, I know who i'd have liked in against the Italian penalties this summer!
