Hughes has never fancied Young since he came in. I'm a bit gutted for him, very decent 2nd choice right back. Good experience but seems Fabio will play there a fair amount if it isnt Onuoha

So, this summer, 12 have gone with another 6 likely, and 7 have come in. That's a serious cull of the squad. Yes, we were carrying a lot of passengers, but it's still a big cut.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.Comment

I think Hughes made Young the fall guy for the Sunderland result as he hardly played after that. Also I think there's a bit of history there as Young injured Salcido when Hughes was manager of Fulham.
Personally I think Young is a decent back-up for us. I'd have him in the squad over Connelly.
I can only assume Hughes intends to move him on. Perhaps he is one of the big earners at the club and Hughes wants to lower the wage bill before bringing someone else in?Comment

Joseph Barton @Joey7Barton
Just come off the golf course so only just heard. A call would of been nice. Ah, well life goes on...Comment

It's weird that no one told him he wouldn't get a number."When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0Comment

Makes me laugh about Young. I could give you about 10 goals last season where he was at fault! Anyway, we have a squad of players who Hughes wants and life goes on.
Barton only has himself to blame. Anyway, he's getting his 60 large for the next 3-4 years so is not too bothered I'd imagine.
Same for Hulse, Bothroyd, Smith, Campbell, Young etc. They will all be on good contracts. They'd rather pick up their wages and kick start their careers somewhere else albeit on perhaps less money.First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.Comment
