Don't know If any truth in it , but the sort of gem Hughes and Rigg pull out of the back ! Only 17 but would be excited if we got the kid . And if we did get him could also see someone like Gallas coming . Gallas would be a 1 year player until the kid is ready for the demand of premiership football . -

Saw him play yesterday for St Etienne against Lille. Very strong and powerful. Played quite well, you wouldn't guess he was only 17. Pretty dangerous at set pieces also.
It is alot of money for a 17 year old, but this is his 2nd season in Ligue 1 so he could be a prodigy...... Anyways gone are the days of steve palmer and ben askar at the back!!Comment

Thing is, yes, £7.5mill is a huge sum for a kid, but its a gamble that could proove a master stroke. For all we know hw could go onto be a top top CB and be worth £20mill in 5 years. Obviously just theoretical, but point is if he reaches the potential the club obviously see in him, £7.5mill could be a snip in the long term. Glad to see the club looking at 1) CBs, and 2) Youngsters.You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.Comment
