QPR RESERVES host Stevenage in a behind-closed-doors friendly at Harlington this afternoon.

DJ Campbell, Tommy Smith, Rob Hulse, Jay Bothroyd and Angelo Balanta are all expected to start the match.

QPR Squad (excluding trialists): Aaron Lennox, Jake Downes, Bradley Simmonds, Mo Sharif, Taylor Parmenter, Tommy Smith, Rob Hulse, Jay Bothroyd, DJ Campbell, Angelo Balanta, Troy Hewitt, Tom Hitchcock, Jake Downes, Freddie Champion.

Who are these trialists I wonder?

QPR have given permission for DJ Campbell to hold talks with Blackpool over a return to Bloomfield Road #seasiders

I guess we will find out if this is true by if he plays today right?
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Be a shame if he goes, but hardly the end of the world.

Had some rotten luck with his injuries tbh, I expected him to do well but sometimes things just arent meant to be. Id rather have him as backup in the squad than Betty or Hulse, but I spose if Sparkie deems him surolus to requirements and we can get a couple quid for him, best to let him go and play some 1st team games eh.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

As Matty said I'd much rather DJ than Boff and Hulse, never really got a fair crack at things.. But if clubs are actually showing an interest we may as well try and get a few bob for him.

'behind closed doors friendly at harlington' what doors?

shouldn't it read 'just beyond small mesh fence with speradic shrubbery causing some viewing restrictions but otherwise easily visible from the road friendly' at harlington

          mmm.. too long winded maybe
I don't care about morals 'cause the world's insane and we're all to blame anyway

No chance Hulse being in the 25.

Also you need to bare in mind how many quick nimble attacking players we have. Forget whether they are designated winger, midfielder, striker, many will be utilised in the same way i feel DJ would be if he stays, in which case you need to compare against them, not the likes of Bothroyd or even Hulse, who would be back up for the Target man role Zamora plays.

You have Cisse, AJ, SWP, Hoilett, Taarabt, Park, Mackie..... If he played a 442, 4231, 4411, 433 i can see players in this group being better options that DJ every time so no surprise really.

When DJ looks round the dressing room and sees those deemed 'surplus to requirements' like Hulse Smith and now Boothroyd plus proper yoof like Sharif & Champion he will be thinking 'Fark Me, time to get out of here'.
