onouha will defo be playing in the middle and will be starting most games in that position i.mo. i think we should give the lad a chance at centre half as ive got a funny old feeling that when he settles in we could have a really good player on our hands! to right him off based on a few games last season playing in the middle is a bit premature i think!

i always thought that heinze got away with murder because he played in man utd's colours - a very dirty player. no way would referees be so leniant if he wore hoops - avoid.

richardson... hmmm. dodgy cousin, but good footballer.

Think we have enough Left backs Traore Fabio Hill dont need anymore, Center half would be good

Fabiop is here to play RB i'm pretty certain, and this would be supported by the fact hes played every game in pre season at RB except 1 in midfield..... Hill is nowhere near good enough to play LB in the prem, he would get roasted. He can get away with CB, which i think he will be back up this year. Therefore we have Traore LB with Fabio as an option if required.

I'm trying to establish where this idea came from that Fabio was brought in to play LB. He's played almost all of pre-season at RB, which is a bit daft if he's going to play elsewhere.

It just goes to show how powerful the internet and message board rumors can be. Someone said it ages ago, a few believed it and whispered it in Chinese and hey presto, Fabio is our new left back

The only reason Fabio is portrayed as a LB is because he has always had his twin brother at RB. I believe with Fabio at RB and Traore at LB it will give us added attacking options . They both are pretty pacey and can give our wingers great overlapping options.

I also feel we should give onouha a chance at CB (if thats where he will play). He's quick, strong and only 25. Playing regularly and working with players like Nelsen could help him grow into that position. Judging him on a few games last season when there were other factors clearly affecting him (hardly playing for half a season, jumping straight into a relegation battle, playing with team mates for the first time with no pre season etc). We say we trust Hughes and his backroom team....well Onouha was one of the first players targeted by Hughes when he took over, so he must rate him!!!

When you say Onouha will def be playing centre, do you know this for a fact? Where has he been playing in pre-season? If it is centre half then I'd be delighted to be proved wrong, but I have my doubts. Just doesnt seem commanding enough.

No way Onouha as a CB. Way to clumpsy. Would love him to prove me wrong though. Would rather have him as cover or a fullback.

Ned had a runout on pre-season at RB but didn't play well. Fabio slotted in there later in the game and Ned went to CB.

Didn't you say you thought Fabio was going to play LB and Ned at RB? Apologies if you didn't, but IMO I think our best FB pairing is Fabio and Traore. What I'd like to see is back up for Traore. Not Hill as I think he should focus on being a CB, and not Fabio as I'd like to see him concentrate on being a RB.

What I don't want to see is a game where Traore gets injured and Hill moves to LB to cover. This'll mean not only a change at LB, but a change at CB, and could unsettle the defence.

Hill/Ferdinand and Nelson could also happen to held their own in A CB position. Personally I think Hill will last another season. Could this be the way Hughes is thinking as well? Just a thought.

Bottomline: are we worrying to much regarding the CB positions?

He'll get outpaced, Richardson is inconsistent. Neither fill the vacancy.
