Yes very interesting, lots of stuff I didn't know about this cat! With his history of bad injuries and indiscipline I can see why we might be looking for another top class striker to compliment him! Besides the stupid red cards I think he's been brilliant for QPR and truly did his part to keep us up! Thanks for posting that!

A very good player when in the mood ...and on the pitch! I can also see why QPR are linked with Defoe. If he gets sent off, QPR won't have a goalscorer.

In November 2003 he was representing France’s Under-21 team in a playoff match, ironically against Portugal, for a place in the Under-21s Championship. Cissé had already helped France to victory in the first leg in Guimaraes scoring both goals in their 2 – 1 victory, but, just a few minutes after equalising Ronaldo’s opener for Portugal in the second leg in Clermont-Ferrand, he left referee Rob Styles no alternative but to send him off for kicking Mário Sérgio in an off the ball incident. Clearly incensed, Cissé remained on the field protesting and haranguing the referee which only served to increase the length of his ban to 5 competitive matches. This ban was reduced to 4 matches on appeal but, as he was no longer eligible for Under-21 matches, would not start until Euro 2004, leaving Santini to rue his decision to let Cissé play in the matches.

Born to play for QPR? Certainly if he has had run ins with Styles!!!!

Never made the game but watched it online in Holland and when Cisse hit the winner about 30 of us was doing the conger in and out pub and up the street. It was mental!
