saw it on a documentary, can't remember exactly but the series of events were gerry and the p makers were in the charts, the tune was played
cos it was popular, with no significance, over time cos its slow, the crowd sang along. one night there was something emotive in the news for liverpool.
some tragic thing, when the crowd sang along and it was shown on the news, it was one of those moments that captures the imagination, helped by the
      media. serendipity

bouncing on the terraces in the old loft.

        Knees up Mother Brown!
        Knees up Mother Brown!
Under the table you must go
        Ee-i-ee-i-ee-i-oh!
        If I catch you bending
I’ll saw your legs right off,
        Knees up! Knees Up!
        Don’t get the breeze up,
        Knees up Mother Brown!

also Rangers boys we are here, uh oh uh oh
Rangers boys we are here uh oh
        Rangers boys we are here
Shag your women and drink your beer
Uh oh oh oh oh oh....

I would like to see us emerge to 'The harder the come' by Jimmy Cliff

The whole ground pumping that out to the away end would be inspiring given the words

                  The harder they come
                  The harder the Fall
                  One and all

Would sound great and its a song we could make our own
