  • Starting back four

Based on what we have, who will be the four to start against Swansea? What I saw today worried the life out of me. MH must have a few doubts.

    RB - Fabio
    CB - Ferdinand
    CB - Hill
    LB - Traore

Sod defence lets play HH and BZ as centre backs, SW at right back, Armand at left back, JH on left wing, AT on right wing, Park, SD and AF in the middle with Cisse up top...obviously we have rush goalie with AJ.

Did you not see Traore play today ?

Left wing all day, as he is better going forward than he is defending.

I'm just happy to see Hill start. F all the over-paid, "established" Premier League centre backs. Hill is the nuts.

              Rb - Onouha
              Cb - Ferdinand
              Cb - Hill
Lb - Fabio (i think he can play this side too?) (Traore on left wing)

I know the consensus is for another CB, but anyone think we're a little short at fullback?

This is my back four too. We haven't seen anything of Nelsen yet and won't do till after the olympics.

Tough decisions lie ahead for Hughes. He could go for Onouha Ferdinand Hill Fabio, but he will try to fit in Traore Hoillet Tarrabt Park Diakite in midfield and then a big headache in choosing his striker from Cisse Zamora Helguson Johnson Mackie and this gets even harder if QPR sign Bellamy and Defoe. SWP will also be looking to get in too. Not that Nelsen wont be seeking a starting place in the defence. It will get harder when Faurlin is fit and if Barton stays.

It's better to have too many players and in any case some of them are possibly going to pick up injuries.

I did see Traore play, but my choice of LB is based on the assumption Hoilett will be playing LM.

I'm a big fan of Traore as attacking LB, but with Hoilett at the same sides LM....may be too unbalanced...
