tbf people cant complain that they are being priced out of jobs by cheap immigrant workers and then complain in the next breath when their football club cant sign this or that player from abroad. some reckon the english game has suffered from too many foreign players. i dont agree as it happens (certainly at the top level) but do see the point that when lower league clubs now play with several foreign players you do start to question whether they couldnt have given that spot to a native born player.

I don't know for sure, but it's possible the employment rules might be different for a citizen of a commonwealth country.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View Postwasnt enough for us to sign a player who was a brazil u21 international though. i agree we should get round this - just saying its not a complete formality imho.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

The second he agreed to the deal they would've got his name on the dotted line.... In this case it will just have the caveat, subject to acquiring a suitable work permit. RThat should be a formality we'd hope and it's good times...

I re-read the article in the Mail and my understanding is that he already has the work permit but the Club is just checking to make sure there are no problems in his moving to QPR/

I wouldn't say it suggested that at all, rather that they need to get one.... Clue is in the first few words:Originally posted by janemelanie View PostI re-read the article in the Mail and my understanding is that he already has the work permit but the Club is just checking to make sure there are no problems in his moving to QPR/
