The 'hype' only exists due to idiots on forums fapping themselves frantically over 'ITK' nonsense over the last month or so.

Highly-sought after player runs down his contract, spends a month or so post-season deciding where to go, considers several offers, chooses one, signs. That's all there is. He isn't greedy for doing this, and he's not stringing the process out for a laugh.If you were him, wouldn't you be waiting as long as possible to see if something better might come along?

You have no idea what's being discussed in any negotiations, nor do you know what his attitude might be if he signs.

Why would he be committed to anyone before joining them?

He was at our ground so he's obviously interested otherwise he wouldn't even entertain us. Its the biggest contract of his career he has to be 100% certain as do QPR. Contracts have loads of clauses in that need ironing out to find a medium that doesn't happen in an instant.

Don't forget Mark Hughes had days & days of on going talks until he felt we were the right move for him, Hoilett is entitled to do the same.

I'm glad you're not negotiating our deals! We'd never have signed Taarabt, Diakite or Onouha. Hughes wouldn't be our manager, and H&F Council would have told us to 'do one' long ago over the new stadium.

How long does he want? He wants as long as it takes. Can you blame him for trying to squeeze more money out of us? Or for seeing if an English CL club might come in for him? You'd likely do the same in his position. Footballers rarely get the chance to negotiate as a free agent - he's the one holding all the cards here.
