    Coventry land Craine

Pompey accept Coventry's bid for Martin Craine. Another one lost.

He is a quality defender, when fully fit, and can play at RB or CH.

But Ramage & Connolly can also fill those roles.

Yeah, if we loan him it then may take away confidence from ramage or connolly etc... we have our own squad which we'll stick too...

Bid accepted. What if it's matched by someone else?

Then it's down to the player.

Just like when Hull's bid for Frazier Campbell was accepted by ManU.

I thought he played LB when on loan to us. What was it conceding 0 or 1 in 5 and a half games? He would have been a very good addition to the squad. We miss out, while all around us other teams are strengthening.

He was a touch of quality when we was on loan with us, but he played what..5 games before his injury, and we havn't stopped talking about him since.

The fact is that he hasn't set the world alight since. I think he did fit in well in his time with us, but we have moved on now.

The one thing we don't need is a decent CB that can play right back too. We've already got two or three of those!

Not in the slightest bit bothered that we didn't get him.

Missing out on the Dutch left back (Van Aarnholt) they got.... that did cheese me off.

Put it this way...I'd be very happy if we got him, but won't moan if we don't.
