They clearly work well together, so if thats solid why mess around with it.

Going back to Connolly were both agreed he is too good to leave out, but if i was to stick to what i just said then yeah i guess that would mean he would slot in at either right or left back. He's a right footed player so no point in wasteing him on the left, therefor right back is his temp position for now...

Hall and Gorkks are clearly JM CB pair.
My only grievence with Stewart is his lack of concentration. You don't get this at all with Gorkss and Connolly. Stewart is fast, strong and good in the air, but concentration is the most important attribute. He'd be a Prem player if he had that.
    Your mum would love me...

Agree, but perhaps a little harsh, Cernys 19 clean sheets last season was no fluke!... Gorkks and Stewart played a massive part in that!!..

In terms of concentration though only wolves away stands out to me, cant think of much else he did wrong....

        How about;

        1. No way near his man Blake for Burnley's equalise at LR

        2. His fresh air clearance that let in a Burnley forward to score the Cup game winner.

3.His contribution to the Norwich winner (all he had to do was clear his lines, but opted to put Gorkss under more pressure instead).

        4. His headed own goal at Doncaster.

Its ok fella you dont need to list each mistake, if we included the entire teams mistakes for last season that list would be slightly larger than 4 dont cha think. Thing is he didnt clear up at the POTY do without good reason.

We could run through the + and - of his game all day long.

            Agree, with bennyboys

Stewart is class, but can always make the odd rickett and normally does it once a game, through lack of concentration. He gets away with it most of the time, but it does sometimes allow other teams to score

Could it not be that it was an easy player of the year vote last year, as it was a crap season with Stewart being the best of a bad bunch ?

Im happy with Borrowdale so far, but dont get me wrong he hasnt properly been tested against a decent winger yet. THEN we shall see how good he is!
Will change my user name to half full when QPR give me reason too...

                      Good question. Pete?

Nobody was slagging Borrowdale before the weekend, how could they? Nobody had even seen him in a competitive game!

The situation was being ridiculed, not Gary Borrowdale himself.
At least we know what he looks like now.

Yes, we know what he looks like. You may not have ridiculed before, but many people did and now I see a few coming out in there droves to find every reason to justify there actions. Only a few are willing to admit they never gave him a chance.

All our players had lots do 1st half at Exeter, anyone have any stats to how many times he has lost the ball?

Like I said, I think the whole ridiculous situation regarding Borrowdale was being mocked... rather than the man himself.

He's done ok, so far. Fair play to him.

Happy to have them all as members of our squad.

By the time December rolls around and we have a few injuries, the yellow cards are mounting up to a suspension or two, I think we will all be glad to have them
