He worked with Terry for years at Chelsea and would consider him a mate, so what do you expect he's going to do if asked to provide a reference..... Really?

You need to bear in mind, his mates don't believe he's a racist and will defend him. Ray's already stated as much on Talkport weeks back so not sure why so many are surprised by this. If he'd said no to Terry whan asked he would effectrively be condemning him as guilty and contradicting himself.

Should all be irrelevant anyway, the trial isnt to decide if he's a racist, but whether he made racist remarks.

if hes terrys mate sure he is going to back him , he can only give a character witness evidence but he is not accused of being racist only the remark , so wilkins cant say if he said it or not
