Its really strange isnt it to think that just a few years ago we were putting money in collection buckets and holding fundraisers in the Smuts to raise cash to buy Jamie Cureton from a club in Korea and now these days we are paying millions to buy an established world class player from Korea :=):

Makes me sad sometimes as I think the hard times brought us together as fans, the band of brothers, us against the world type thing. Hope we never lose that but I think the atmosphere this season will be electric in and around the ground. Cant wait for the Swansea game its going to be a special day.Originally posted by IsleworthRanger View PostIts really strange isnt it to think that just a few years ago we were putting money in collection buckets and holding fundraisers in the Smuts to raise cash to buy Jamie Cureton from a club in Korea and now these days we are paying millions to buy an established world class player from Korea :=):

Start of a new era. I know TF was brought in last year, but last season was abit of a mish-mash what with the late takeover and all. This year is the fresh start, with our proper club structure etc and with a top gaffer in charge. Good times are a-coming and I, for one, cannot wait for the season to get started!Originally posted by SpankwiR View PostMakes me sad sometimes as I think the hard times brought us together as fans, the band of brothers, us against the world type thing. How very true Isleworth. In a funny kind of way Spank is right, those dark days were somewhat special for what they taught us. My son was introduced to the Rangers in those tough times and has stuck with it and learnt what it's like to be a proper football fan. He is now reaping the benefits, having just seen his first season of premier league football and looking forward to the next chapter.
In more than 4 decades I've never felt quite so excited about the future of our great Club. Just want to get started now, even though it's still only early July#standuptocancer

I can relate; having held a ST from circa 98 I have seen some truely torrid times. At them ages all ya pals support the likes of Chelski and you get playground ribbing for supporting a "$hit team", but I loved all that, wouldnt change any of my QPR experiences for the world. Those away days at Chesterfield, Peterborough midweek, Gillingham etc have shaped us as we are today and boy oh boy does it makes us appreciate the position we are in now!Originally posted by Bluehoop View PostHow very true Isleworth.
