    Today's Announcement NOT About Stadium

Tony confirms on twitter BUT will be 45k capacity, not a bowl and one of two sites in West London. Today's announcement is a sign of 'intent'

      45k??? brilliant news.

I think he's downplaying things ahead of the conference. I'm sure he wouldn't want to play his hand early in the day.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Our all time home attendance record is 35353. Would be amazing to break it in the near future.

Will be the 10th biggest in English football assuming Spurs upgrade theirs soon. And BIGGER than Chelski!

For now, yes. But TF is building for the future, the man seeminlgy has huge expectations for our club and seems to be steering us in exactly the right direction.

Building such a ground will enable us to become a brand rather than just a football club, hiring out the venue for music concerts and all sorts, bringing in additional revenue.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Yep with a ground the size of 45k you can do a hell of a lOt with that beside football.

It's not just for football. Every extra seat they have is more revenue from every concert etc.... PLus if they fulfill their vision, why couldn't we attract new fansa and fill it in the near future.

TF was quoted by Reuters that we could've sold 20,000 season tickets. Add in 5,000 for away supporters and 5,000 for members/non-members gives 30,000. This will mean the stadium will be a third empty to begin with. We've played with a less busier ground before.

However, this leaves 15,000 for expansion of our fanbase and overseas visitors, so about the right size.

Signal of intent is more then one player IMO..good player but a signal of intent IMO is a big money signing... Will be happy if it is just park though...

why would QPR need a 45k stadium ? you only filled LR last season on a few occassions..
