                          On a serious note - agreed, too much for a player like Naughton - I don't think there's any actual substance to how much money our bid contains, only that we're in for him.

                            I do agree that it's slightly too much to pay, but Naughton will be around for years & from what I recall he's very reliable and has huge potential, and potential is one thing Mark Hughes is good at getting out of players (Just take a look at Taarabt & Mackie)

                              The talk of him being worth £4.5m sums up what is wrong with English football. He's barely played top flight football in England, and certainly not proven, yet would cost more than seasoned pro's from the continent, such as Taiwo and the like who have years of Champions league football behind them....
