RUMOUR on another site - QPR close to getting land in Wood Lane

Has anyone else heard of this?

Anyone else heard that the club are near completing the deal to buy the Unigate Site on Wood Lane:smile:

'Anyone else heard that the club are near completing the deal to buy the Unigate Site on Wood Lane '
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

I had a look at the site on google earth. Will it be big enough? It's enclosed by roads and railway lines.

Doesn't look like a site that would be able to fit 40,000.

Don't want to move from LR. Whats the point of a 40k stadium when we cant fill 18?

There was a fire there earlier in the year so the price may have dropped. Not sure if it's good residential space because it's so close to busy roads and railways.

Looks a bit small to me, and if we're going to grow our club, we need a 40k stadium. That's what TF is after I believe.

I think it should be around 25k with an option to increase it to 35k IF needed.

Feels kind of silly to spend all that money if you're not eventually going to reach 40k with the capacity.

10 posts and we've talked ourselves out of liking the idea of a potential new stadium a stone's throw from LR?

...and bring in a complaint about immigrants.

                          This messageboard is awesome!

Bloody daft isn't it? LR is falling to bits, it's got restricted views, it's cramped, it's small, and some people want to stay put?

New 40k stadium please Uncle Tony

We wouldn't go for the site if we couldn't get what we want & like someone else has said, i'd go 25k & then extend it when needed
