this should have been a nothing thread but matrty has turned it into a brilliant piece of fun,thanks for saving this thread matty

i think the reason why i want to always pick on zamora is because back in 68-69

we so much needed a striker,the great rodney marsh returning from a broken ankle only managed four goals that year

we expected barry bridges to hit 20 goals but he only managed eight goals,and all of us felt that ,playing in the top flight needed strikers

so i get very frightened by the prospect of a center forward who cant score goals

for me i love 20 goal a season strikers like brian bedford,clive allen,les ferdinand

bowles and marsh could be inconsistant both of them had worrying league goal stats
very few people can hit that onion bag twenty times a season every season,next year my greatest hope is that cisse will get twenty league goals making him the first person since ferdinand to hit twenty in the top flight
