...it may be worth remembering that in our most successful top-flight season ever, the youngest regular starter was, believe it or not, 25 years old. The oldest was a whopping 36! The average age of the 12 regular starters that year was over 27.5!

Ok, I know football is a different beast these days, but it does show that a bit of experience can go a long way

This age thing is pathetic now, 30 years ago maybe , by the time you hit 30 you were nearly finished but now, no way. Chelsea were an aging side that just won the Champions league, Italy won the world cup 2006 with an aging side. Now people will tell you , you dont reach your peak until 30!
