I have you right Matty, if Alejandro is fit enough to start. If not maybe Ireland/ Murphy/ even Sigurdson? Much as I love Hill we need a top centre back - Toure maybe? Not sure Sparky will play Adel on the right but agree it frees up a space for Traore and solves the right side problem - we have SWP, Dyer and Mackie but none are quite starters to me for differing reasons.

Sigurdsson is probably unlikely, but anything's possible. We need a very good centre back to partner Hill imo so I'd say either Samba or Toure.

No way Hill will be a starter this season. Ferdinand is a v gd defender who has proved himself over many years at a much higher level than Hill - he just needs a bruiser like Samba to play alongside. Even Anton's brother at his peak wd have looked poor with some of his defensive partners last season.
