Not sure what the obsession with Taiwo is. He done ok in the end, and i certainly wouldnt want to pay 4m for him.

I'm fairly confident of Taiwo signing eventually. Some might not rate him here but it's a fact that he does have a strong reputation and - although I think he did enjoy his time at the club and probably likes London too - you'd expect him at this stage of his career to explore his options if he can get a bigger club playing in European competition. He'd be a silly chap if he didn't.

If that club doesn't come along then I expect we're first in the queue.

The other consideration though is will Hughes want to wait til the end of the window for him?

That does make sense actually.If the loan deals run up until 30th June,maybe they can't announce a perm one until 1st July!

I heard Fabio was possibly coming in to play RB. He is right footed and just plays left becasue his brother plays on the right. He is versatile so would be a great addition.

As for quality compared to Taiwo.... I'd say Fabio may be more skillful going forward, but i wouldn't say he was as good as Taiwo at defending. Taiwo also has great accurate passing, crossing and a lethal shot / FK.... I really hopw we sign Taiwo and Fabio for his versatility.

Fabio may not be tall but he is lightweight (or at least he was last time I watched him). His brother has bulked up loads in comparison.

Taiwo was good and would only get better, don't know on what basis you would claim Fabio is an improvement.

I fear I will miss him if he goes to Benfica. IMO, he eventually played very well for us and If he is off to Benfica , who should replace him really? The youngster from United? I think heīs brazilian?

I shouldn't worry too much, Shania. Taiwo was OK, wasn't anything special in my opinion, and the Brazilian kid, Fabio, will be just as good, if not better.
I'm not too sure we've strengthened that area, but we certainly haven't weakened it, that's for sure.

Itīs not common knowledge,is it? But a few weeks ago he was qouted(in the press) saying he would love to play for them(Benfica) in the CL. I even seem to remember they were after a potential quality leftback for the tournament after having sold one of their defenders, a leftback, probably.
Personally, I would like to see him back at Loftus Road ASAP.

Yes but that was in the press whcih could've been twisted. What we do know is on player he interviewed and said he was desperate for us to stay in the prem so his deal would become permanent.... .sounded a done thing assuming we stayed up.

I don't understand why it's claimed to be common knowledge Taiwo is off to benfica! There's only been a couple of reports. Probably less reported about him to Benfica than us going for Giroud!!
