  • Queens Park Rangers eye Benoit Tremoulinas bid

Queens Park Rangers are said to considering making a bid for Bordeaux defender Benoit Tremoulinas.

The 26-year-old produced a number of eye-catching performances last season, helping Les Girondins qualify for the Europa League.

Rangers boss Mark Hughes is in the market for a new left-back after Taye Taiwo returned to AC Milan following his loan spell at Loftus Road.

The QPR board are keen to back Hughes in the transfer market and Tremoulinas could be available for £10m according to The Sun.

Tremoulinas, who has made over 100 league appearances for Bordeaux, has two years remaining on his current contract.

Blimey, a few years back the prospect of paying £10million for a player seemed out of this world.

It still does. £10m ? For a Left Back !
      I can't see it.

No chance we'd spend that on him.

If we had £10m budgeted for a left back we could buy Taiwo and pay his demands twice over.

Tremoulinas appears to be in the last year of his contract as well.

Have to say, for a random transfer rumour this one seems suspiciously original at least....

              Better than Tawo
I have watched him for a couple of years, really good option for us.

By the sounds of him Tremoulinas seems unnecessarily similar to Traore. I think we might miss Taiwo's brute power.

Tremoulinas sounds more like what I've been suffering from after four days solid on the booze.

Is he a physical kind of player? I just wonder if he can make it in this league?

I think that with our lack of world class team mates (which 3 of the 4 listed above are surrounded by) i prefer a bit of lump like taiwoo to keep people at bay. 2 of those 4 you mention are basically 6ft.

somehow I don't think QPR would pay anything near £10m for a left back.

                              6ft?! Please tell me who!

I wouldn't call the Everton defence 'world class' either! Full backs on the whole are small.
