    Taiwo linked with Benfica move

When you translate and read it it says something about Taiwo terminating his contract with QPR and going back to Milan. ??? Interesting, fits with the Fabio thing?

Translation may be slightly off, it may be more that his loan spell is finished?

Looks like Benfica are interested though.

does seem to ring true... particularly if he's talking about benfica (who were the ones fabio was supposed to be going to).

would prefer taiwo, but i still prefer traore to both.

He appears to have been linked with them for years and it's never materialised.

Also seeing some talk Milan want to use him in a swap deal for Benfica's Alex Witsel.

Realistically Benfica are in the Champions League and it'll be hard for us to compete if they do come in for him.

And you need to be a QPR player before you can " quit",and he isn't .

Another "deal agreed in principle" that isnt? .... or as we all know football the business doesnt have any principles!

I'd like to see him sign and I'm realiably informed from Man Utd season ticket holders (yes they live in Surrey!!) who think Fabio is clueless and kamakazee
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

correct he doesn't have a contract at QPR his loan spell is finishing, and what what I can gather is we have an option to sign him as long as we stayed in the premiership?

Taiwo linked with move to Benfica

Benfica are being linked with a move for Taye Taiwo.

The Nigerian left-back, who spent the second half of last season on loan at QPR from AC Milan, expects to leave the San Siro on a permanent basis this summer.

“If Benfica are considering signing me for the next season, then I can only thank them for showing an interest in me,” Taiwo was quoted as saying by O Jogo.

“My plan is to develop and improve myself every year and next season it will also be like that. Benfica would be a good club for me to develop and improve myself.”

Slightly off topic , but to me it seems like Benfica is a club which are linked to nearly all players in the world 24/7.

I dont want him to leave. I feel he settled in very nicely when he got more and more games under his belt. Made good pals with many of the players also. Hence my gut feeling is that he will stay. The CL level is overated,Taiwo

I reckon this story has really legs, Benfica's biggest weakness is left back spot as seen in big games vs chelsea and every time they played Porto.

If he stays at QPR he will play in that tournament sooner rather than later.

I like Taiwo. Thought he was looking a lot more assured towards the end of the season but tbh if we didn't get him I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.

Not totally sold on Fabio (haven't seen much of him) if I'm honest but I trust Mark Hughes to bring in quality in every position he looks to strengthen.
