Barton won't contest 12-match ban
Joey Barton will not appeal against the 12-match ban for violent conduct.
The QPR midfielder was hit with the lengthy ban after being dismissed for elbowing Carlos Tevez and then kicking out at Sergio Aguero as he left the pitch at the Etihad Stadium.
He was also fined £75,000 by a Football Association-appointed independent regulatory commission on Wednesday.
