It wouldn't cost £11m - faced with the alternative of training with the stiffs and playing for the Resses only for 3 years, he'd take half that to do one.
If he didn't turn up for training or refused to play or started slating The Club or our owners, manager, players - we could fine him.
It's not like Vine who wouldn't leave because he wasn't the same player post a bad injury / double break.

So £5m, and the onus would not be on Tony or Amit to pay it (although they could). Not considering we earnt £43.5 million last season and will earn at least that again next season ! So it would cost us 1 decent signing.

Or we could sack him with no compensation. He could appeal, but who would back him against our Lawyers ? Not the PFA, Taylor said so.
Did Magilton or Sousa appeal or take us to court ?

        Let Hughes make the decision.

I think a lot of you are affronted just for the sake of it and or just like to try and defend the indefensible....

Have we forgotten how lame he was for most of the season and when he gave the w@nker sign to Jamie Mackie on the pitch during a game.....I could write a very lengthy list of reasons why he should be offloaded and never play for us again but I will leave you with one thought....

Say for arguments sake we did keep him for whatever reason the question needs to be asked.... Do you really think that he is going to be able to handle the extra 'attention' he will receive on the pitch from opposition players and not get sent off again? I for one don't think he will be able to and think that the man is a toxic influence who, like another one of his peers in John Terry will divide dressing rooms and fans alike and is far more trouble than he is worth....

Comparing his situation to any other player is futile because we are still left with a player with a whole host of baggage and who has had more chances than your average game of Monopoly.....

                    GET RID ASAP please......
Didn't get too much support with this one did you?.....you won't get any from me either

However, to a large extent it doesn't really matter as you and I won't be making the decision regarding his future...

Throughout his career he has shown himself to be

                          a) EPL standard (unlike quite a few still on the payroll)

                          b) a nutter

and thus perfect for us. We've always had lunatics of one sort or another on and off the pitch, goes with the territory.

I love Joey. At least he's an interesting character unlike the dullards that are Shearer, Linekar etc.
