Its a good q. Assuming Samba is stuck in Russia there is a dirth of obvious candidates. Wd have said Bassong but he didnt cover himself in glory at Wolves. Shame we cdnt agree a deal with that greedy sod Alex.

He's deeply unhappy there by all accounts. Also, it wouldn't be a wild assumption that there is some sort of get out clause when it comes to being subject to the chronic racism that plagues most of the former Soviet countries.

I'm pretty certain i saw it somewhere that stated Samba is on 100k+ a week over there.

So even if he was to demand a move, would we really be able to afford the fee and wage?

I really think we've got a great chance of signing Samba.

Sparky wanted him in January, Samba wanted to join (putting 2 & 2 together) imo he went to Russia to get away from Blackburn & not for the money

          & now Samba is unhappy.

Just a case of price you feel now.
          Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
          And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Ah yes, the old "Chronic Racism Release Clause".........cos all good employment contracts come with those these days!

Realistically, he wouldn't get that anywhere in the prem.

So it's up to him really - make loads of dosh and endure a barrage of hate in a two-bob league, in a two-bob country....... or take a pay cut to play in the best league in the world for the greatest team on the planet

Lol. You'd be mad not to have considered that where he is though!

I'm sure it is something he considered before moving there........and no doubt quickly forgot about as soon as he found out they were gonna pay him 100k per week!

Jonas Olsson is leaving West Brom on a free IMO would be very good alongside Ferdindand or Hill and would be good captain material.

Hoping Mark Hughes can find us another Vincent Kompany.
