this era has the potential to take us to a higher level like no other.a top owner who could build a training ground, stadium and have a great team to watch. on a personal level its the 70's for me with a cycle of very good times inbetween. this could have the makings of our greatest ever time-if we don't do it like we normally do-the rangers way!!!!

I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most

Really just another way of saying how old are you..................to me we will never emulate the 1972 - 1978 period, fantastic players, fantastic football. 1982 through to 1986 wasn't too shabby either and on the style of play front 1991 - 1994 was fantastic too but that 70's side was just pure class.

Kit, I know what you mean but I'm so pleased for the likes of droghoops and all the younger fans. Hopefully for a long time they will be proud to hold their heads up and say 'I'm a QPR fan'. They deserve to as they have stuck by the club through some pretty shxt times. Also they wont have to listen to us slightly older R's going on about the 60's, 70's etc. They will have their own legends to tell their children and grandchildren about. All you younger fans, I'm proud of you.

            Well said
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Absolutely thats why I say it depends on your age, if the kids today think the same as I did when I first started watching the R's, in 30 years time then it will be great. I just feel so lucky to have been taken to Loftus Road at the start of the 70's just as a great side was being built by Jago. Fantastic times.

For me i am with the leveller on this.

Has to 65-76,the noise and atmosphere at LR,St ANDREWS AND WEMBLEY in the league cup succeswas truly amazing and something i have treasured memories of.

Can you imagine a third division club coming from nowhere to beat Leicester
City with the legendary keeper Gordon Banks,no not just beating them
but outplaying them and putting four goals past him.Dont forget a year before England had won the WORLD CUP Banks in goal.

Also the same year winning the Third division title by a country mile, and then
winning promotion to Div 1 next season such memorable times.

Then 75-76 amazing speaks for itself.

I have my uncle to thank for this and i feel truly priveledged to have
witnessed all the ups and downs of the Rs since my first game in 62

                Great club,Great players,Great fans,Great times

if anyone followed the Rs between likwe 91 and 95 we had an awesome team, top 10 easily each year and consistently turned people over

the most exciting season though i thought was last year.

I would say most exciting time, but I enjoyed 70's,80's and early 90's,just recollecting all the fabulous players down the years at Loftus Road! Hopefully we will be able to add to the list of greats that have played on our pitch in the very near future!!
I came here to chew gum and kick ass,and I'm all outta gum!

you have to remember(like pops said)that our time was exciting for us and they we're our times. the young fans who had the bad years a while back are now expierencing the great times they deserve for loving our club then. this is their time-enjoy and saviour every minute.
sounds a bit poxy but i wish i had a scrapbook to look back on the great headlines. i have my first ever programme and other really important ones that remind me of certain teams we had so if i can offer a word of advice to the younger lot without sounding like some ol' c@nt......take what you can from the potenial glory days ahead-you will never have this chance again. u rss.

This question depends on how old you are. If you're a teenager/early twentyish supporter, then the answer is definitely YES...but if you're an old bastad like most of us are then you aren't gonna touch the years from 76 to 96..ish. Me personally would be the post 82 cup final years when we were top boys on and off the field.
