So I was watching the Man City game on TV and listening to the Stoke game on the intenet. I kind of switched off for a moment, what with all the tension....and when Man City scored their winner, I heard the internet commentory scream ....''ït's 3-2, what a turnaround"'........... I immediately thought we had lost and Bolton had won and basically collapsed to the floor....it took me 30 seconds to realize that the internet commentory switched to the Man City game................and that Bolton drew 2-2.

I can't go through that ever again.......not at my age

i was in shock for about 20 minutes after the game, as i needed incontrovertible proof that we had indeed escaped the drop.

in fact it probably took me about 24 hours for it to properly sink in.

There were prolonged periods of the game, during both halves, that I stood in the Etihad wondering a) what the hell was I doing there and b) whether my heart was going to actually keep beating for the full 90 mins.
It just felt like the game was going on for ever, and having no control over any of it was just torture.
Don't want that again. Can't remember feeling that much in limbo in any match before.

Have to say, the commentary on BBC Manc was confused to say the least -- Josie kept telling me things and I occasionally borrowed one earplug to hear what she was rambling about, and heard for myself their commentator saying the ref had shown a SECOND red to a Man C player, they thought it was Aguero!

They also told us that both Stoke AND Bolton had missed penalties and that stoke had a goal disallowed...I think they were just fantasising to add to the excitement/trauma of the day!
