mackies never say die attitude will always get him in my team , he knows hes not the most gifted talent in our team but why do people keep knocking him, the fella gives 100 per cent every game.... would swp have had the composure to score the winner v liverpool not in a million years...... encourage your players dont knock them

I agree, but who's to say another player on the day wouldn't have scored or set up a goal or two? Impossible to say but I stand by my statement, he is/has been - s.hit."When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

yet again I think we saw the best and worst of mackie - brave, full of effort, charging about - but not much guile, running into a wall of defenders with his dead down. not looking up to see when to release the ball. great lad and will always be grateful to him for the winner against liverpool and some other crucial goals (eg the equaliser up at Swansea) but he is quite limited. hopefully hoilet or similar in his place next season if we stay up with mackie coming off the bench if we are in need of a bit of passion.

an amazing effort from the young man. heart on sleeve kind of fella. a lot of players in the english game have made their name through hard work and although we all love a bit of guile and skill you can never put down your bread and butter players. top man imo.PRIDE OF LONDON.

I must say his attitude and commitment can't be faulted but he has not quite been up to the mark for most of the season. BUT he may have just kept us in the Prem by letting the ball run out for a corner on Sunday from which we scored. normally he would be trying to keep the ball in, I also agree he could have gone down in the box a couple of times especially one time in the 1st half. but then would he be any better than a certain Mr Young at Man Utd?
