If We Are All Square with Bolton - Tactics For City

So if we assume that we go into the final game of the season all square with Bolton ahead of them on goal difference how do we approach the City game.

Do we try and win it and attack attack attack, or hit them on the break knowing they will need to win the game to take the title or just try and kill the game and scrap a point and hope that Bolton don’t win.

The retention of the ball will be paramount we can’t give the ball away cheaply as we did against Chelsea. Might have to take a leaf out of Swansea’s book and pass it around the back if the result is going our way.

As I suggested elsewhere, sack Hughes (for one game only) and re-appoint Paul Hart. He has the tactical nous for this challenge

Appoint Ron Knee (59) as boss for the day so he can use his famous system of 5 men on the goal line with 5 more standing on their shoulders. This leaves midfield dynamo "Baldy" Pevsner to make things happen for us further up the pitch. (Lawro's prediction City 1 Rangers 0 (scorer Pevsner og). Mind you -we dont have anyone who can fill the Pevsner role!

Despite it looking like an attacking line up it simply wasn't - two holding mids in Barton and Derry, sitting just behind the snail paced Buzz, with Cisse imitating a winger as well as he did before he joined us (1 goal in 48 games was it) and no goal scoring centre forward to collect the knock downs and flicks that BZ failed to produce.
The only time we showed any desire as an attacking force was when Buzz went off, Traore came on and we went with 2 up top.
