Barton is 1 of our best players, dont care what anybody says. His off field personality makes people not like him. To me, sod all that, so long as he performs on the pitch, which he is doing.

i think bartons attitude has changed alot lately. he actually seems to care a bit. obviously the booing woke him up. agree with the rest.

On what basis do you make that statement, Matty? I would say that he has been abysmal over three quarters of the campaign. Since the Liverpool booing incident he has improved but his overall season performance has not been good enough.

All based on opinions. Yes he has had some bad bad games, but IMO, not too many more than most of our players have. He got alot of undue stick I think in games where there were far worse players, mainly because of his reported wages and the fact hes very outspoken, seems alot of fans dont like that.

If, for example, Mackie, had played the games Barton had, I have no doubts he would be hailed as having a great season.

Just my opinion obviously, we all see games / performances differently.

In order to move forwards we need a more, how should I say it, "energetic" midfield. Faurlin and Diakite fit this mould,not Barton, Buzsaky or Derry. Buzz can be played if we plau away and play someone behind the front man but against mobile centre midfielders the aofrementioned are unable to move fast enough,or have the stamina to make a run soon enough after the one they just made
