Joey Barton on life, philosophy and art......

Sent to me by one of my Guardian reading friends this morning.

The QPR captain and Twitter fan visits the National Portrait Gallery in London on a day off from playing Premier League football to view the Lucian Freud Portraits exhibition. The former Manchester City and Newcastle United player tells Alex Clark of his philosophy, his wife Georgia's view of his taste in art, and how he spots men posing as women in artwork. The Lucian Freud Portraits exhibition runs until 27 May
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

At least he's trying to stand out a bit from the usual footballer.

Can't help thinking he's over-reaching a bit, but fair play.

Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

Should have brought his teammates with him as well. Much better teambuilding than playing golf.

Barton is god(Funny how fast I change my mind).:pleasantsuprise::pleasantsuprise:

Even when he was going through his dodgy spell I thought he was God Like....even to the extent (much to the upset of Mrs Middleton) that I am cultivating the Joey Barton quiff haircut.

Me too, he was so anonymous in the midfield I was convinced he didn't exist either!

                          Fancy haircut or not!

I canīt say I like The Smiths, though.

I can assure I do NOT read the Guardian. The paper just winds me up!

I'll leave it to the people of Islington and Hackney to read the paper!
