    Jay Bothroyd.......

drives me frisking mad! There's no doubting he has some talent, but i wish when he comes on that he shows a bit more hustle and bustle up front. He doesn't seem to want to put himself about like Helguson or Zamora, plus he keeps drifting outside of the box!

I noticed Barton giving him a right #######ing for not being more aggressive which in my opinion was fully deserved!

Had to laugh when Taarabt had to shout and make a hand gesture at Bothroyd to make the run upfront when Taarabt was darting forward

Crazy he had to tell a striker what position to get into

To be fair I don't think he is a natural striker, prefers to come in from out wide. Don't think he played for Cardiff as an out and out striker. Hasn't really worked out for us.

To be fair its his character , he is so lad back and that's how he plays. He's a Zamora type of front man without the work rate and determination of Bobby Zamora, is very frustrating to watch cos he has everything in his locker just doesn't use it.

He'd been more effecting coming in from the right imo, done that for Cardiff and it worked

Whether he stays or not, the number 10 shirt should be reviewed next season.

It has a great tradition and I just feel you need to give it to a player who is going to be a regular in the starting 11.

He suddenly looked great for a spell after Barton's #######ing!

To be fair he is not a target man and never has been, he's a second striker with pretty decent technique trapped in a target man's body. Only looked good for us next to Helguson

OTOH he is not so good at that position that it's worth us making formational sacrifices to accommodate him

Give Cisse or Zamora the 10 next year.

Bothroyd is probably a decent player, but he just seems so lazy. I finally lost patience with him after Arsenal away, where he basically jogged around for about 70 minutes and then went off.

He's one of those players you just want to shake and get some fight/passion/anger from, can't see it happening though.

He's always been like this, the difference was that he would hit the target time and time again in the Championship, obviously a player suited to a lower level with less defensive pressure.

Think he should go there for two reasons
                      1. Less chance of them scoring against us when we play them next year.
                      2. He hasn't really got a place in our side (we have many options now).

Thought when he did the 'Ayotallah' it was good though, great wind up on Swansea, him being ex Cardiff.

I actually think he would be a decent left winger as he has good touch, a few tricks in his locker, turn of initial pace and decent build about him for the diagonal ball.

Does not have the heart or bravery to play up top in my view

I think Cisse is more of a number 9. Buzsaky should get 10 back :D

In the few matches I have seen him play, that´s my impression as well.

Taarabt should get the no.10 shirt and Barton to 7
