IIRC you can get a bus from Brum New Street. Long, long time since I've been. Dodgy plod up there. Tried to send us into an ambush many years ago but we were lucky we sussed it and took a different route.

Then there is a train station called Hawthorns. 3 mins from the ground. Local train from
Birmingham Snow Hill.

short walk from brum moor st to snow hill..then the "metro" tram thing to hawthorns, ground short walk...i can't recall too many shops near away end...
the tram thing is odd, people walking across tracks and the "metro" runs on small wheels not on rails but drives along ( it seems) guided by the brick kerb!!
i reckon there'll be loads of qpr on chuff chuff...
you can always check the "football league ground guide" an excellent site....

Been quoted £63 returned for me and junior from Euston to The Hawthorns station, means walking round to Moor st.

£63 for an Adult and child seems steep, anyone get this cheaper, it works out about £43 foe an Adullt alone?
