    Taiwo

He seems to be getting better with games under his belt, getting used to the pace of the Premiership. Smashing goal on Saturday, too late to influence the result but a confidence booster for him nonethess, and he was getting some cracking crosses in

However he still scares the cr@p out of me defensively

Considering Traore could still be out and Walcott on form, how about playing Hill as a safe pair of hands at fullback with Taiwo left midfield pushing up ?

Think we need to get at Arsenal and not let them settle, otherwise if we sit back they'll stuff us

'Get at Arsenal' = pressing them constantly when we don't have possession = playing a high defensive line = Clint Hill vs Walcott 40 yards from goal in a race for a ball over the top

      This wont end well

          Shocking. Not even a jump.

I actually think he and ferdinand were equally at fault for that goal. I think ferdinand made a bit of a public fuss to Taiwo to save face himself as he dhouldve been marking Bentner himself, but like he does with every player he should be dealing with they lose him, just like sessagnon for the 3rd goal.

Taiwo was at fault for not reacting also, and perhaps with games will start to assume ferdinand will lose his man and cover. That said he could see across the line and probably should have done better.

Boltons first goal was almost identical. Central attacker left free by the CB's and the LB, in that instance Traore seeing the situation too late to get across and cover.

I don't think Taiwo had a great game but of the back 4 saturday he was probably the best of a bad bunch, ie made the least mistakes, and yet people still say they are worried to death about his defending and no mention of Ferdinand who's become very average after a great start for us, Onouha who seems a liability and Sunderlands 2nd goal summed it up perfectly, and Young who got beaten every time on the wing!

Make no mistake, the only hope we have against Arsenal is for them to have a real off game.

Why not play him in midfield really?

Are we gonna play the whole back four in midfield? Onouha has made more clangers... FACT.

                  My suggestion was Taiwo only!

He's very good going forward. Didn't get to watch the game on Saturday but my dad told me him and Anton were at fault for one of the goals :/

Yeah for the first goal Bentner was between them. He should've been marked by Anton (surely, being the CB) but he lost him and Taiwo should've in that instance got nearer to him to make the challenge but neither did.

Onouha was totally at fault for their 2nd basically missing a simple header on the edge of our box when completely unchallenged which led to the goal.

For their 3rd Onouha and Young made themselves look sunday league on our right allowing McClean to get a cross in and Anton who only had Sessagnon to keep an eye on failed abysmally and was nowhere near him when he tapped it in.

You could say our defensive performance won't be used as an example for a defensive masterclass DVD anytime soon.

cant play taiwo anywhere else but left back.

purely for the fact that arsenal will tear clint hill apart if he is put there. hill needs to be CB. and we dont have anybody else.
