swp,bothroyd,gabbidon,ferdinand,campbell,zamora off the top of my head have all been a waste of money,some of them we bought in panic on deadline day others i dont know why they have consistantly underperformed . our defence is all over the place and barton is at best mediocre , the sending offs dont help and hughes just rolls of excuses week after week

I said in another thread, this season reminds me of 1996 when we were relegated, everyone blamed Wilkins but in fact the players actually let him down badly, I think its a replica of this season, Fernades has put his money where his mouth is, the manager has been backed but the players totally let everyone down.

I think he needs to starting considering the next manager for next seasons campaign for promotion but I think it will be tough.
