The intelligent posters know we are down (although obviously not yet mathematically). Blind optimists are not very bright! The fat lady sung when the final whistle went against Everton. But now the team is just starting to gel, we can show this league what WOULD have happened had this squad started the season, and not finished it. We can still finish 18th and show the big boys that we can pick up points against them, starting with tonight. This squad would have finished mid-table, no doubt (even with Hughes-a panic appointment if ever there was one-in charge).

Odds are strongly against us staying up but crazy to make grand predictions ("we are down"/ "we will survive"). So much is unpredictable - look at the Muamba incident which came from nowhere and that alone cd change the relegation battle either way.
